1.  Why this notice exists

We build privacy-first technology, so our public site should live up to the same principle. This notice explains what happens to your information when you simply visit our website. It does not cover any Kynismos apps, services, or accounts.

Reality check: The site is hosted on Squarespace and travels across the public internet. Those technologies generate a small amount of unavoidable technical data. We keep that data to the legal minimum and never sell it.

2.  What personal information we collect

A.  Information you choose to give us

  • Name, email address, mailing address, or payment details if you type them into a contact form, send us email, or complete a checkout. 

B.  Information collected automatically by the site and Squarespace

  • Your IP address, browser and device type, the time of your visit, and the pages you view.

  • Essential cookies that keep the site functioning (load-balancing, fraud prevention, security).

  • Optional Squarespace analytics cookies are disabled; we do not run ad pixels or social-media trackers.

3.  How we use that information

1.           Operate and protect the site – deliver pages, stop malicious traffic, troubleshoot errors.

2.           Respond to you – when you contact us or buy something.

3.           Comply with the law – for example, keeping tax records or responding to a lawful court order.

We do not sell or rent visitor data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers such as Squarespace (hosting) and Stripe (payments), bound by contract to act solely on our instructions.

  • Legal authorities, but only when we are legally compelled.

4.  How long we keep it

  • Server logs stay on Squarespace’s servers for up to 30 days before automatic deletion.

  • Emails or payment records you initiate stay only as long as needed for the purpose you asked and for any legally required bookkeeping.

5.  Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you.

  • Object to or restrict our processing of your data.

  • Withdraw consent if you previously gave it.

  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

6.  Data security

  • Every page is served over TLS (HTTPS).

  • Squarespace provides firewalls, intrusion monitoring, and physical data-center security.

  • Administrative access is restricted to two senior Kynismos staff members and protected by hardware multi-factor authentication.

  • Raw server logs are never downloaded to our own devices. 

7.  Children

The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.

8.  Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will always be posted on our website.
